Massimo Bergnesi é nato a Roma il 25 Settembre 1950. Dopo aver
frequentato il Ginnasio presso il Collegio Nazareno dei Padri
Scolopi ed aver conseguito la Maturitą Classica, ha frequentato i
Corsi Regolari dell’Accademia Aeronautica, divenendo ufficiale in
s.p.e.

Dimessosi dall’Aeronautica ha pubblicato due libri: L’Atto della
Creazione (Firenze 1991) e Passaggio per Universo parte I
(Firenze 1993).
Il brano che segue la sezione opere, riproduzione delle ultime
pagine di Passaggio per Universo, offre una sconcertante
mescolanza di visione matematica e di carnalitą, sintetizzate in
un’immagine estrema e sensuale dell’Universo e del suo “scheletro” –
la matematica – ed inquadra il problema che egli sta affrontando –
l’allargamento del campo numerico finora bidimensionale ad una
“terza dimensione” adeguata a comprimere algoritmicamente la morte
dell’individuo, e connessa in maniera per ora misteriosa al
linguaggio naturale, alla natura del colore, ed alla notazione
matematica.

Massimo Bergnesi was born in Rome on the 25th September 1950. After
having attended the gymnasium at the Piarist Fathers Collegio
Nazareno and obtained the Classical "Liceo" Certificate, he attended
the Regular Course at the Air Force Academy and became an Officer in
permanent service.

After resigning from the Air Force, he published two books:
The Act of Creation (Florence 1991)
and Passage for Universe
1st part (Florence 1993). The piece that follows the paintings
section,
a reproduction of the last pages of
Passage for Universe,
offers a disconcerting mixture of a mathematical and carnal vision,
synthesized
in an extreme and sensuous
image of the Universe and of its "skeleton" - mathematics - and
frames the problem which he is tackling - the widening of the
numerical field until now bidimensional to a "third dimension" able
to compress algorithmically the death of the individual, and
connected in a mysterious manner to the natural language, to the
nature of colour, and to the mathematical notation.
